A. Ahlström Corporation has signed an agreement to acquire 85% of Metsäkonepalvelu Oy. Metsäkonepalvelu Group offers mechanical timber harvesting services for forestry companies, communities and private forest owners in Finland and Sweden. The company employs approximately 170 forestry professionals. The Group consists of the parent company Metsäkonepalvelu Oy and the subsidiary MKP Sverige AB.
Metsäkonepalvelu is the largest, independent company in the Nordics within mechanical timber harvesting services for forestry companies. The transaction enables Metsäkonepalvelu to further benefit from ongoing industry development.
