HLP typically acts as a local buy-side or sell-side advisor for international clients on acquisitions or divestments of Finnish assets. Our Finnish clients have trusted us with multiple engagements concerning divestment of their international subsidiaries and assets or acquisitions abroad. Furthermore, almost all of HLP’s domestic sell-side engagements involve contacting international buyer candidates that HLP is able to reach through its wide contact network as evidenced by a large number of cross-border sell-side references. 

In cross-border engagements, HLP leverages its international execution capability, wide contact network and may in addition partner with a local M&A advisor on a case-by-case basis if the client so desires. Compared to domestic engagements, a typical international project requires an even stronger focus on co-ordination of the internal and external parties involved. This is a responsibility that HLP also undertakes.
