It was natural for us to sell the products to a leading company in the horticultural consumer market. Kekkilä Group develops, produces and markets high-end garden substrates, plant fertilisers and mulches as well as home garden and yard construction products for amateur and professional growers and landscapers.
Lassila & Tikanoja specializes in environmental management and property and facility support and is a major supplier of wood-based biofuels, recycled fuels and recycled materials. L&T operates in Finland, Sweden, Latvia and Russia. L&T’s net sales in 2011 were EUR 652 million and the company employs 10,000 people. L&T is listed on NASDAQ OMX Helsinki.
