“Transferring under the ownership of a family-owned company is a natural next step for Haltija, as I feel that these two companies’ values align particularly well. It is also important to Haltija that its ownership remains in Finland. The acquisition provides Haltija with opportunities for sustainable and profitable growth and long-term development of our operations”, says Haltija’s CEO Leena Munter.

“Haltija’s strength lies in its comprehensive expertise and versatile product range. Its growing customer base has strong trust in the company. I think this acquisition benefits the customers, Haltija’s personnel and the new owner alike”, says Sponsor Capital’s Jussi Seppälä, Chairman of the Board at Haltija.

“This acquisition allows us to provide an even more versatile offering of health technology products and services to our customers in the healthcare and care industries by bringing together the strong expertise of the personnel in both companies. This further strengthens our role in the market”, says Berner’s CEO Antti Korpiniemi.

In recent years, Haltija has become the leading actor in the assistive technology and service industry in Finland. The acquisition supplements Berner’s existing health technology product and service offering in accordance with the company’s growth strategy.
