In line with its strategy, Kemira is focusing on the development of its four business areas. Industrial services are not part of Kemira’s core business.
Operating in the Kokkola large-scale industry area, OnePoint Oy is a leading service and infra company that offers and develops services relating to infrastructure and production. The company employs about 130 people with revenue amounting to approximately EUR 22 million. The Kokkola large-scale industry area forms the biggest concentration of inorganic chemistry firms in Scandinavia, with approximately 20 companies operating in the area. Kemira has a sulphuric acid factory there.
Kemira is a chemicals group made up of four business areas: Kemira Pulp&Paper, Kemira Water, Kemira Specialty and Kemira Coatings. Kemira is a global group of leading chemical businesses with a unique competitive position and a high degree of mutual synergy. In 2006, Kemira recorded revenue of around EUR 2.5 billion and had a payroll of 9,000 employees. Kemira operates in 40 countries.
