PiezoMotor Uppsala AB has entered into an agreement to acquire Sensapex Oy. The purchase price initially amounts to a total of approximately EUR 13.6 million excluding a possible earn-out and will be paid partly in cash and partly in the form of newly issued Series B shares in PiezoMotor.
Established in 2008, Sensapex Oy develops, manufactures, and sells proprietary products and turn-key solutions for advanced microprobe and –pipette-based applications in the microscope market. It offers the most stable micromanipulators and automated microscope workstations for electrophysiology and imaging applications. With an extensive customer base, it has established itself as a supplier to many top research and development units around the world. The company’s turnover was approximately 2 million euros in 2020.
