Ramirent Finland Oy has bought Vaasa-based WasaTrade Oy from the current owners. WasaTrade is a general machinery rental company, with a selection of small equipment, electrification and heating equipment, and construction site hoist in particular. This strengthens Ramirent’s operations especially in Ostrobothnia and in the Helsinki metropolitan area.

WasaTrade has depots in Vaasa, Närpiö and Helsinki. The company’s entire personnel will be transferred to Ramirent, whose subsidiary WasaTrade will continue to operate.

“There is a lot of buzz in Ostrobothnia: a huge amount of wind power is being built in the area, in addition, investments by mining and battery chemical companies are planned in Vaasa and Kokkola. WasaTrade is a very strong player in construction and wind power projects, so the purchase of the company will strengthen our business in Ostrobothnia and especially in the Vaasa area. In addition, WasaTrade’s construction site hoist business will significantly increase our capacity in the Helsinki metropolitan area”, says Mikael Kämpe, CEO of Ramirent Finland Oy, with joy.

WasaTrade CEO Jukka Korpitie comments: “Ramirent’s wide range of machines and nationwide depot network give us the opportunity to serve our customers even better in their projects all over Finland. In addition, the deal enables us to serve even larger projects. This will play a big role in Ostrobothnia, when the planned projects of wind power, mining and battery chemical companies advance to the implementation phase.” With the transaction, Korpitie will be transferred to Ramirent.
